DFW Airport Lounges 2026: Complete Terminal Guide
Choosing a lounge at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) depends on your departure terminal, airline, card or membership, and how much time you have before boarding. DFW has several premium lounges in Terminal D, American Airlines Admirals Clubs across all five terminals, and additional airline and paid-access options. This guide explains where the main lounges are and what to verify before you go.
Locations shown here are based on official airport and operator directories available during preparation. Check the live directory for changes, hours and temporary closures.
Which lounges are best at DFW?
Start with the lounge you are eligible to enter in or near your departure terminal. Terminal D has the Capital One Lounge near D22, the Centurion Lounge near D12, the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club near D25, The Club DFW near D27, and several airline or partner lounges.
American Airlines lists Admirals Clubs in Terminals A, B, C, D and E. DFW’s free Skylink train connects all five terminals inside security, but the full gate-to-lounge trip includes walking and waiting time. Do not treat a short train ride as a guaranteed gate-to-gate transfer.
Three things to know before choosing a DFW lounge
- Capital One Lounge and Centurion Lounge are both in Terminal D. Capital One is near Gate D22; the Centurion Lounge is across from Gate D12.
- Admirals Club access is not unconditional. Citi / AAdvantage Executive cardholders and members must meet the current same-day eligible-flight and entry requirements. A business-class ticket does not automatically grant access on every itinerary.
- Do not rely on a fixed 10-minute gate-to-gate estimate. DFW says Skylink rides average about five minutes, with the longest ride taking up to nine minutes. Walking, waiting and reaching the lounge add time.
DFW’s airside train makes a cross-terminal lounge visit possible, but not always sensible. Check the lounge’s eligibility rules, current capacity or wait information if available, your next gate and boarding time before leaving your departure area.
DFW Airport lounges by terminal
DFW has five terminals. The airport’s official lounge directory lists the following locations. Lounge availability, hours and access policies can change, so use this table as a starting point and confirm details with the operator.
| Terminal | Lounge | Published location | Access route to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | American Airlines Admirals Club | Near Gate A24 | Eligible Admirals Club membership/card, qualifying itinerary or other current access option |
| B | American Airlines Admirals Club | Near Gate B3 | Check American Airlines’ current access rules |
| C | American Airlines Admirals Club | Near Gate C20 | Check American Airlines’ current access rules |
| D | Capital One Lounge | Near Gate D22 | Eligible Capital One card or other access method under current terms |
| D | American Express Centurion Lounge | Across from Gate D12 | Eligible card, same-day flight and current guest rules |
| D | Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club | Near Gate D25 | Check current Chase and lounge access terms |
| D | The Club DFW | Near Gate D27 / mezzanine area | Check current paid-entry or participating membership options |
| D | American Airlines Admirals Club | Near Gate D24 | Check American Airlines’ current access rules |
| D | American Airlines Flagship Lounge | Near Gate D23 | Qualifying premium-cabin, status or other published eligibility; card alone is not sufficient |
| D | Plaza Premium First | Near Gate D16 | Check the lounge operator or eligible program for current entry options |
| D | Other airline lounges | Published locations include the D16 and D27 areas | Eligibility is set by each airline and itinerary |
| E | American Airlines Admirals Club | Near Gate E22 | Check American Airlines’ current access rules |
| E | Delta Sky Club | Near Gate E10 | Delta’s current access rules and eligible itinerary/card |
| E | United Club | Near Gate E6 | United’s current access rules and eligible itinerary/card |
| E | Plaza Premium Lounge | Published locations include near Gate E31 | Check current operator and participating-program terms |
DFW’s directory lists Capital One near D22 and the Centurion Lounge near D12, resolving the conflicting Terminal E note in the earlier draft. Check DFW’s current lounge directory for the latest list and any temporary changes.
Admirals Club: access across all five DFW terminals
American Airlines lists Admirals Clubs in Terminals A, B, C, D and E. This broad terminal coverage can be useful for eligible American Airlines travellers, but access is not automatic simply because you are flying American or holding a business-class ticket.
American Airlines’ current rules specify eligible membership, card, status or class-of-service qualifications and a boarding pass for same-day travel on an eligible flight. Citi / AAdvantage Executive cardholders must show the required card and meet the same-day travel requirements. Guests also need to meet the published accompanying-traveller and boarding-pass rules.
Premium-cabin access depends on the route and ticketed service. A generic domestic business-class ticket does not universally qualify for Admirals Club entry, and Flagship Lounge access has separate qualifying-flight requirements.

Can you use Priority Pass at DFW?
Priority Pass listings for DFW include participating options such as Plaza Premium Lounge and The Club DFW. The exact participating lounges, access windows, guest charges, visit allowances and capacity restrictions can change. A Priority Pass membership does not mean every lounge in the airport is available to you.
Before heading to a lounge, check the Priority Pass app or website for the specific DFW location, terminal, access conditions and any time limits. Capital One Venture X cardholders should also confirm that their Priority Pass enrollment is active and review the current guest policy.

How long does it take to reach a DFW lounge from another terminal?
DFW’s Skylink is a free light-rail train operating inside the secure area and connecting all five terminals. DFW says trains arrive at each terminal station about every two minutes during the daytime service window; average ride time is about five minutes, and the longest ride between terminals can take up to nine minutes.
Those figures describe the train, not a guaranteed gate-to-gate or gate-to-lounge transfer. You also need to walk from your gate to the station, wait for the train, exit at the correct terminal and walk to the lounge. Boarding, mobility needs, queues and terminal layout add time.
- Check your departure gate and boarding time before leaving your terminal.
- Use the official DFW terminal map to find the closest Skylink station and lounge entrance.
- Do not make a cross-terminal lounge trip if it could leave you rushing to board.
- If Skylink is affected by maintenance, follow DFW’s current signage and shuttle guidance.
Which DFW lounge is right for your trip?
The best option is the one you can enter, reach comfortably and use without risking your connection.
You have Venture X
Check Capital One Lounge access near D22 first. Confirm your card is eligible, your Priority Pass enrollment if needed, current guest fees and lounge capacity.
You have Amex Platinum
Check the Centurion Lounge near D12 and verify current entry, same-flight and guest rules. Compare the distance from your departure gate before visiting.
You fly American Airlines often
Check the nearest Admirals Club, but confirm eligible same-day travel and your membership or card requirements. Premium-cabin access depends on the itinerary.
- You already meet the lounge’s current access requirements.
- The lounge is close enough to your route and there is sufficient time before boarding.
- The guest cost is clear and reasonable for everyone travelling.
- You have checked opening hours and any capacity restrictions.
- Your connection is short or your next gate is far away.
- Your access method, guest eligibility or fee is uncertain.
- The lounge is at capacity or the current entry window is restricted.
- You would need to cross terminals and return close to boarding.
What if your preferred DFW lounge is full?
Do not assume another lounge will have space simply because it is nearby. If your first choice is unavailable, check the live airport directory or lounge app, then compare the next option against your departure gate and boarding time.
- Already in Terminal D: Check the official directory for other nearby lounges and confirm that your card or membership qualifies.
- Departing from another terminal: Use Skylink only if the return journey leaves a comfortable buffer before boarding.
- Using Priority Pass: Check the current participating-lounge listing, access window and guest conditions before walking.
- No suitable lounge: Stay near your departure gate and use available terminal dining and seating rather than risking your connection.
