LAX Airport Lounges 2026: Locations, Access Rules & Best Options

Which airport lounge can you actually use at Los Angeles International Airport? Compare the Centurion Lounge, Delta Sky Clubs, American Airlines Admirals Clubs, United Club and Priority Pass options by terminal, flight eligibility and cost.

Lounge rules and participating locations can change. Check your airline, card issuer and lounge directory before leaving for the airport.

Research note

How this guide was prepared

JetKonnect compared official information from Los Angeles World Airports, American Express, Delta, American Airlines and Priority Pass for this editorial revision. The information below is researched guidance, not a claim that our author personally visited every lounge. We do not publish invented queue times, guarantee admission or present changing membership terms as permanent.

LAX airport lounges at a glance

The best lounge depends on your specific access entitlement , not simply which terminal has the most lounges. A card benefit, paid membership, eligible premium-cabin ticket and airline status can each have different restrictions.

LAX lounge locations and common entry paths
Lounge Terminal / area Typical eligibility What to know
American Express Centurion Lounge Terminal B (TBIT) Eligible Amex cards, including Platinum; restrictions apply Accessible via post-security terminal walkways
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Terminal B Eligible airline customers or participating Priority Pass members Priority Pass listing requires an additional $35 per person
Delta Sky Club Terminals 2 and 3 Qualifying Delta tickets, memberships or eligible cards Amex Platinum and Delta Reserve visits are capped unless eligible for unlimited access
American Airlines Admirals Club Terminals 4 and 5 (check latest status) Qualifying membership, card, ticket or status Do not assume all business-class tickets qualify
United Club United terminal area, principally Terminal 7 Membership, eligible card, pass or qualifying itinerary/status Check club location, operating hours and entry restrictions
Gameway / Be Relax Selected Terminals 1, 3, 6 and B Participating Priority Pass programs Gaming or spa experiences; not full airport lounges

Can you walk between LAX terminals after security?

Yes. LAX confirms that ticketed travelers can walk between its terminal areas post-security. Its published terminal-to-terminal pedestrian route is approximately two miles end to end, so crossing several terminals can take considerable time. The Centurion Lounge specifically confirms post-security walking access from Terminals 4–8 and from Terminal 1 through Terminals 2 and 3.

This does not mean every lounge is a sensible detour. Check your actual gate, boarding time, mobility needs and lounge entry window. International arrivals, baggage recheck or a new check-in process can still require exiting and clearing security again.

See the official LAX inter-terminal connections guide .

Centurion Lounge LAX — Terminal B (TBIT)

The American Express Centurion Lounge is located in Tom Bradley International Terminal. After security in TBIT, follow the Centurion Lounge signs and use the branded elevator to Level 2. The lounge’s published operating hours are 6:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. , subject to change.

Who can enter the LAX Centurion Lounge?

Eligible American Express Platinum and other qualifying cardmembers can enter subject to their card-specific terms, a valid same-day boarding pass, identification, timing limits and capacity. You do not have to depart from TBIT simply because the lounge is physically located there. Delta SkyMiles Reserve cardmembers have separate qualifying-flight and card-payment conditions.

Centurion Lounge rules worth checking before travel
Rule Planning guidance
Standard departing-flight access Generally within three hours of scheduled departure for eligible cardmembers
Connecting flights Current terms specify a five-hour window for eligible connecting passengers; check exceptions and documentation
Guests Card-specific fees, guest limits and same-flight rules apply; do not assume guests enter free
Complimentary guest eligibility Some eligible Platinum accounts may qualify through a $75,000 calendar-year spending threshold; verify the applicable benefit year and terms
Capacity Admission can be delayed or restricted when the lounge is full

Should you cross terminals for it? If your gate is nearby and you have ample time, it may be worthwhile. For a short connection or a distant gate, protecting your boarding time is more important than using a card benefit.

Does Priority Pass work at LAX in 2026?

Yes, but its LAX offering is more limited than many guides imply. The current Priority Pass LAX directory identifies one conventional lounge listing — the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in Terminal B — plus gaming and spa experiences. It is misleading to describe LAX as having several complimentary Priority Pass lounges across its terminals.

Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse — Terminal B

The Priority Pass listing states that access requires a standard visit entitlement plus a mandatory $35 additional fee per person , payable at the lounge. The fee also applies to guests, in addition to any charges from your own membership. The listed admission window is within three hours of scheduled departure; access remains capacity-controlled.

Gameway and Be Relax experiences

Priority Pass currently lists Gameway in Terminals 3 and 6 and Be Relax Spa in Terminal 1 and TBIT . These are gaming and spa offers rather than lounges with standard complimentary buffet-style food and seating. Some credit-card-issued Priority Pass memberships exclude non-lounge experiences, so check your specific membership in the Priority Pass app before counting on these benefits.

Delta Sky Club at LAX — Terminals 2 and 3

Delta confirms Sky Clubs in both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 . Its newer Terminal 3 club includes a Sky Deck, showers and several seating environments. Delta also operates a separate Delta One Lounge for travelers who meet its premium-ticket eligibility rules; a general Sky Club benefit does not automatically grant Delta One Lounge entry.

Delta Sky Club access with American Express cards

Common Delta Sky Club card allowances
Card Included visits Important restriction
U.S. Amex Platinum 10 visits per benefit year Eligible same-day Delta-operated flight or qualifying Delta-marketed WestJet flight; Basic Economy excluded
Delta SkyMiles Reserve 15 visits per benefit year Eligible flight and fare rules apply
Eligible cardmember meeting spending threshold Unlimited visits under the applicable benefit terms Generally requires $75,000 in eligible calendar-year purchases; check precise card rules

For U.S. Platinum cardmembers, American Express explains that a visit can cover entries to one or more Delta Sky Clubs within a 24-hour period , not necessarily one individual doorway entry. After the included visits are exhausted, additional access may be purchased at the published rate if eligible. Guest entry is separately charged and subject to restrictions.

Check Delta’s current club directory and the benefits page associated with your exact card before traveling. The Delta LAX airport guide confirms its Terminal 2 and 3 clubs.

American Airlines lounges — Terminals 4 and 5

American Airlines has published Admirals Club locations in Terminals 4 and 5 during its LAX terminal construction period. This corrects the older Terminal 4/6 description. Because construction can change the operating footprint, check American’s lounge directory before heading to a particular club.

Admirals Club admission may be available through an eligible membership, the Citi / AAdvantage Executive card, a qualifying premium-cabin itinerary or certain eligible status and international journeys. A standard domestic first-class or business-class ticket does not automatically guarantee entry. American also has separate Flagship lounge products with different eligibility.

United Club at LAX — United terminal area

United’s lounge facilities serve its Terminal 7/8 departure area, with the main United Club generally associated with Terminal 7. Check the official United Club directory for the specific entrance and any temporary changes before your visit.

Admission can depend on a United Club membership, eligible United Club credit card, one-time pass, qualifying international premium-cabin travel or applicable Star Alliance access privileges. United Premier status by itself does not guarantee United Club entry on an ordinary domestic flight. One-time passes may also be restricted when the club is busy.

Which credit card is useful for LAX lounge access?

There is no single card that provides unrestricted entry to every LAX lounge. Compare the lounges you can use on the airlines you actually fly, then evaluate annual fees, guest costs and other benefits separately.

LAX lounge benefits by card — check current issuer terms
Card LAX relevance Main caution
American Express Platinum Centurion Lounge; eligible Delta Sky Club access; enrolled Priority Pass Guest charges, Delta visit cap and exclusions for some Priority Pass experiences
Chase Sapphire Reserve Priority Pass membership and other issuer lounge benefits At LAX, do not assume free Clubhouse entry or restaurant/experience credits
Capital One Venture X Eligible Priority Pass lounge access Verify current guest charges and whether non-lounge experiences are covered
Citi / AAdvantage Executive Admirals Club eligibility under current terms American-specific benefit; check same-day flight and guest rules
United Club card United Club access under card and membership rules Best aligned with qualifying United travel; rules can change

Card links may be affiliate links. Check current annual fees, offers, eligibility and benefit guides directly with the issuer. This guide does not recommend applying for a card solely for one airport visit.

What if the LAX lounge is crowded or you cannot enter?

No reliable official dataset supports a universal claim that the Centurion Lounge always has a 45–90 minute evening wait or that another airline lounge has no wait. Occupancy changes by day, flight schedules and operational conditions.

Practical backup plan
  • Centurion Lounge full: Ask staff about the current entry process or any waitlist option. Compare the estimated wait with your boarding time; do not assume a digital waitlist is always available.
  • Priority Pass member: Check whether the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is accepting members and whether its additional $35 per-person fee is worthwhile. Check whether your membership includes any listed non-lounge experiences.
  • Delta Sky Club cap reached: Review the current paid-additional-visit rules or use terminal dining instead of assuming you can enter free.
  • Wrong airline or ineligible ticket: An airline-branded lounge may not admit you even if you can walk to it. Check ticket, status and card eligibility first.
  • Short connection: Stay near your departure gate. LAX’s post-security connections are useful, but a long walk may consume your available time.

Important updates for 2026

What changed in this LAX lounge guide?

Our October 2026 editorial revision corrects the earlier claim that LAX terminals lack post-security connections; identifies the paid Priority Pass Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse option instead of implying several free lounges; updates American’s published Admirals Club locations to Terminals 4 and 5; and removes unverified queue estimates. Lounge rules are not guaranteed to remain unchanged after this review.

Frequently asked questions about LAX airport lounges

What is the best airport lounge at LAX?

There is no universally best option. The Centurion Lounge is a strong choice for eligible Amex cardmembers with enough time to reach Terminal B. Delta Sky Club may be more convenient for eligible Delta flyers, while American and United passengers should compare their own airline’s clubs.

Can I visit the LAX Centurion Lounge when flying from a domestic terminal?

Potentially, yes. LAX terminals are connected post-security, and American Express confirms walking routes to the Centurion Lounge from other terminals. Entry still depends on your qualifying card, boarding pass, timing, capacity and other terms.

Does Priority Pass have a free lounge at LAX?

Do not assume so. Priority Pass currently lists the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at TBIT with a mandatory $35 per-person additional fee on top of the standard visit entitlement. Other listed LAX benefits are gaming or spa experiences that may be excluded by your card’s membership.

Where is the Delta Sky Club at LAX?

Delta confirms Sky Clubs in Terminals 2 and 3. Check the Delta app or its official airport guide for the club most convenient to your gate.

How many Delta Sky Club visits do Amex Platinum cardmembers get?

Eligible U.S. Platinum cardmembers receive 10 visits per applicable benefit year under current terms, with specific flight and fare requirements. A visit can cover multiple Sky Club entries within a 24-hour period. Check your account benefits for exact conditions.

Where are the American Airlines Admirals Clubs at LAX?

American has identified lounges in Terminals 4 and 5 during its terminal construction period. Check its live club directory before traveling because airport construction and operations can change.

Can I walk between LAX terminals without going through security again?

Generally yes, using LAX’s post-security pedestrian connections. However, international arrivals, baggage collection, new check-in requirements or other itinerary-specific procedures may require another security screening.

Can I bring guests into an LAX lounge for free?

It depends on the lounge, your card or ticket, the guest’s flight and current membership terms. Some programs charge per guest, and the Priority Pass Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse listing has an additional fee for each admitted person.
